Solomon Guttridge
From Jack the Ripper Wiki
Witness at Frances Coles' inquest.
A shunter employed by the Great Northern Railway. He appeared at the third day of the Coles inquest and stated:
"On the morning of Friday, the 13th, I left home at five minutes to 2 and went to the stables and got my horse out. I then came down Chamber-street and through Swallow-gardens to the depot. I went right through the arch, but did not see any one lying there. I am sure the body was not there then. That was between 10 and 12 minutes past 2."
The inquest report claimed that another shunter said that there was no body in the arch at 2:15.[1]
