Durward Street

Originally named Buck's Row, murder site of Mary Ann Nichols on 31st August 1888.
Renamed Durward Street on 25th October 1892 following pressure from residents tired of the street's (generally undeserved) poor reputation and the attentions of morbid sightseers.
