Catherine Hughes
From Jack the Ripper Wiki
Witness at Alice McKenzie's inquest.
At 11.40pm, 16th July 1889, Catherine Hughes was sitting on a doorstep in Flower and Dean Street with Margaret Franklin and Sarah Mahoney when McKenzie passed them, heading in the direction of Brick Lane. Although Hughes corroborated Franklin's story, she disagreed with the time it started raining.
She reckoned it did not start raining until at least 12.45am the following morning. Detective Inspector Edmund Reid appeared to confirm this, saying that it was not raining at 12.30am as he was out at that time.[1]
